FAQ
Why do you need Photos access?
NeuraClean needs access to analyze your library (duplicates, similar photos, blurry shots) and perform actions you choose (delete, compress, export, etc.). Your photos stay on your device unless you explicitly export.
I granted Limited Photos access. Will the app work?
Limited access may restrict what NeuraClean can scan or manage. For the best experience, allow Full Access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
How do I report a bug?
Send an email to support with steps to reproduce, screenshots/screen recording if possible, and your device + iOS version. If the issue involves photo processing, mention the feature (duplicates, blurry, video compression, USB sync, etc.).
Does NeuraClean upload my photos?
No. NeuraClean processes photos locally. If a feature requires network access (e.g. updates), it will not upload your personal photos.
Troubleshooting
Most issues are fixed by:
- Force quitting the app and reopening
- Ensuring Photos permission is granted
- Restarting your iPhone
Photos are missing / scans find nothing
Check Photos permission: Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → NeuraClean. If set to Limited, expand the selection or allow Full Access.
Delete or apply actions don’t work
iOS may block write operations without proper permission. Ensure Photos access is set to Full Access and try again. If the issue persists, email support with what action you used.
USB Sync issues (drive not visible / folder picker fails)
Make sure your drive is properly connected (Lightning/USB‑C) and the Files app can browse it. If the drive is encrypted or requires extra power, use a powered adapter.
Data requests
If you want to request data deletion or have privacy questions, email us with the subject Privacy Request.
